I love the Conjuring Franchise, even the cheesy spin off films. Annabelle and The Nun quickly became modern horror icons from this series and the underlying story of Ed & Lorraine Warren kept me interested until the end.
Whilst not accurate to the real life accounts, these movies are still a fun watch and whilst they vary in quality I still think this is one horror franchise that is entertaining to watch every time I watch them!
For me the first choice has to be The Conjuring the original movie that started this saga, its still a great movie when i rewatched it recently.
2nd on my list is Conjuring 2 this film introduces us to The Nun Valak! The Crooked Man and so much more! i love this movie and the fact its set in good old Britain helps! lol
Third on my list has to be Annabelle Comes Home! whilst not everyone’s favourite it still holds a special place in the franchise for me. its not as scary by any means but I love the spooky element and some of those jump scares from the bride still haunt me to this day!! loved this movie!
Annabelle Creation was a film i was late to in the franchise, it took me a while to watch this movie and I gotta say it was an awesome watch!! it was very spooky and gave us some great moments!
the original Annabelle movie I gotta admit it bores me to tears so its quite low in my rankings
The Nun & Nun 2 were good movies but i felt the story remained unfinished and we should have gotten a third film in this series!
The Devil Made me do it is the worst in the franchise not for me that one, i was not a fan.
Last Rites whilst some people moaned when it hit cinemas I enjoyed it and thought it was great way to finish the franchise and let us say goodbye to the fictional warren’s lol (the real life counter parts were very different people, the ones on screen were the ones we fell in love with as fans)
The Curse Of La Llorona has connections to Annabelle but for some reason was removed from the official cannon of The Conjuring… but to me its got links so im including it… however this is last on my list it really does bring nothing to the franchise so maybe they did right removing it lol
